Head of Main Traffic Safety Department visits Torugart checkpoint

Azenbek Kozukeev, head of the Main Traffic Safety Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, visited Torugart checkpoint, the ministry’s press service reported.

He met with truck drivers from China and urged them to comply with traffic regulations.

«In addition, awareness-raising work was carried out among the drivers. They were told not to artificially create congestion at the border and were encouraged to observe proper road etiquette,» the statement says.

Torugart checkpoint is located 194 kilometers from Naryn at an altitude of 3,600 meters above sea level.
