42 pilgrims die in bus fire in Saudi Arabia

Forty-two pilgrims were killed when a bus caught fire in Saudi Arabia. NDTV.com reports.

According to the media outlet, the victims were 42 Indian pilgrims from the city of Hyderabad who died after their bus got into a traffic accident and subsequently burned.

«Many passengers were asleep and had little chance of escape when the bus burst into flames following a collision with a fuel tanker,» the report says.

Among the victims were at least 11 women and 10 children. Authorities are still verifying the information. Only one person survived.
